Abstract

Because English isnow the main language used for international communication, the innovation of its teaching methods is particularly important given the increase of globalization and technological progress. This study explores the ways that digital technology and intelligent teaching can improvethe efficiency and effect of language learning. After conducting an in-depth analysis of digital technology applications in education, the theoretical basis of intelligent assisted instruction, and its practical application in the teaching of English, this study designed and implemented a series of experiments. After collecting data from specific target groups, the study constructed an artificial intelligence-(AI-) assisted diagnosis and feedback system with
advanced algorithms and technologies, aimed at providing personalized learning paths and real-time feedback for learners of English. The results show that the system can significantly improve learners’ English ability, especially in terms of accuracy and fluency of language use. Through the evaluation and analysis of the model performance, the study further verified the intelligent CAI(Computer-Assisted Instruction) system’s potential to improve the quality and efficiency of education. It is anticipated that this research will provide innovative pedagogy for the teaching of English, and also offer theoretical and practical references for the development and application of educational technology in the future.
